| GMTV Andrea gives a ray of sunshine at Energy Awards |
 |
Attended by over 200 people, the Euromoney and Ernst & Young Renewable Energy Awards in their second year, were established to recognise projects, companies and individuals who contributed the most to take the industry forward and demonstrated best practice in renewable energy finance and development.
Euromoney Energy Events has been running REFF as it is colloquially known for seven years and was very pleased to have established last year, together with Ernst & Young, our prestigious Euromoney and Ernst & Young Renewable Energy Awards which we believe make a significant contribution to the widely recognised achievements in the renewable energy finance sector.
Last year saw tremendous growth in the investment of renewable capacity and we believe the award ceremony gave us the opportunity to look at what had been achieved in the last 12 months and also, of course, to acknowledge those who contributed most to media interest and also added brought the event together the growing success of the renewable sectors.
The awards emphasise the growing importance of the private sector in delivering clean and secure indigenous energy supplies for our and future generations, particularly at a time when technologies mature and carbon constraints begin to bite. The awards were presented on 22 September by GMTV Weather Presenter Andrea McLean. |

| Time to be booking Christmas entertainment |
The end of October means the first thoughts of Christmas as Crackers and tinsel hit the shop shelves and High Street decorations go up. Already in September, PWA had enquiries about celebrities turning on lights. The likes of Big Brother ’05, The Farm, X Factor & Celebrity Love Island contestants are all popular choices.
For staff & client parties why not use entertainers from comedians, tribute bands or after dinner speakers. The Twins are spectacular if you want to make an impact. See website for further ideas. |

| Holly cools down with Wall’s |
 |
Walls Ice cream have brought back the JOKE ON A STICK at last. Childrens TV presenter Holly Willoughby was chosen to be the perfect celebrity to launch the concept which for many years was the talk of our childhood summers.
Following a competition to find the best jokes, a winner was chosen and their joke printed on the sticks together with old favourites. The PR behind this was organised by Sophie Brownlees of the London offices of Weber Shandwick. |
